4-2 at Portman Road – it doesn’t get much better than that.
A huge psychological boost for the club, players and fans alike as Wolves moved back into 6th position in the table.
Kenny Miller is turning into a goal machine after a slow start to the season. 6 consecutive games he’s scored in now taking his season’s tally to 14 goals.
Another for the reborn George Ndah and all of a sudden we have an embarrassment of striking riches.
Add to this a great strike from an unlikely source, Lee Naylor, and we are now the second highest scorers in the division.
Reading the match reports is does seem that the last half hour, and the second equaliser, was the turning point of the game.
Up until then it does read as though we were, as you would expect, under the cosh.
However, a game lasts for 90 minutes and we got our reward for the long journey to Suffolk.
With the exception of the blip at Brighton we are playing consistently. I think there is always the tendency to believe we are under-achieving but we need to keep this form for the remainder of the season.
Games are coming thick and fast now, due to the extended Cup run, and the opposition is generally like ourselves, vying for a play-off position.
We must ensure that we get as many victories as we can between now and May 4th and you never know – 5th time lucky in the play-offs?
I’ll be there at Preston – fingers crossed for a repeat performance ;-)
Come on the Wolves!
