Joleon Lescott was today named in David Platt's U-21 Squad for the upcoming friendly against Yugoslavia.
Lescott, who only turned 20 a fortnight ago, has previously featured in the the England set-up at Under 17, 18 and 20 level and was delighted with his inclusion at the next level.
Lescott said: "I'm really pleased. People have been telling me to be patient and that my chance would come along, and now it has."
The central defender, who made is Wolves debut at the start of 2000/01 season and has been a regular ever since, will make his debut for the Under 21's at the same ground where he made his Under 20 debut, at Bolton's Reebok Stadium.
That game is this Friday 6th Septmeber and kicks off at 8pm.
