Wolves Vs. Nottingham Forest - Pre-match build-up and Prediction

Last updated : 29 August 2008 By Gary Brookhouse

Wolves have not lost a league game, at home to Nottingham Forest since 1980 and nine months earlier, Wolves had beaten Nottingham Forest 1-0 in the League Cup final almost 28 years ago.

Last season Nottingham Forest were in League 1, but got promoted to the Championship after finishing 2nd place. The last time the two sides met was in 2004/05 season, when Wolves won at home but lost away to Notts Forest.

At the end of the day statistics means nothing, but Wolves should just go into this game just like any other game and win. Exit in the Carling Cup to Rotherham United should now be put behind us and should just concentrate on the league for now, to try maintaining our unbeaten league record so far this season.

Wolves are currently 2nd in the Championship, with just 2 points behind Birmingham City and with the best goal difference so far in the league. Last week it saw Wolves keep the first clean sheet of the campaign, away to Ipswich Town and it will be good to see us keep a clean sheet at home.

With the team news we still have Jody Craddock out for 3 months and George Elokobi possibly out for the rest of the season, our defence has took a bit of a knock.

Here is the team I will be expecting to see come tomorrow's game:

It is expected to be a bumper crowd, as Forest has almost sold out their allocation. My estimated attendance would be 26,500 with it being such a high profile game.

Score Prediction: Wolves 3-1 Nottingham Forest
