Ward Extends Contract

Ward, whose current contract was due to run out this summer, has put pen to paper a two-year extension which ties him to the club until 2011.

"Wardy came to us from Bohemians last year and has made a rapid rise and there's still improvement to come from him," manager Mick McCarthy has said.
