Time For a Change...at the back

HENNESSEY - didn't really have must to do. Can't really be faulted with the goal as that was down to defensive lapses

FOLEY - clearly not fully fit and not the player who was bombing down the wings last year, the right side combination of him and Halford clearly does not work . Subbed at half time

ELOKOBI - Built like a brick outhouse. He spent more time on his arse yesterday than on his feet. Didn't do much wrong but a very average performance

BERRA - Keeping the defence together. With some very average players around him Berra is the stand out player in defence

MANCIENNE - has to be dropped now. His performances of late have been sub standard and he was out of position yet again for the Pompey goal. His distribution is poor and he is clearly not a centre half. Maybe it is time as members of the Wolves mad messageboard mentioned to play him at left back. His also needs to show the fans he give a damn about our beloved club. Out of all the players he is the one who appeared to be along for the ride

HALFORD - started in right midfield and wasn't very effective. I can't remember one Wolves attack down the right in the first half. Was reverted to right back at Half time and had a better second half. He seems to be Wolves' dead ball specialist. He took 4 free kicks from the edge of the area and only troubled David Jones once. He also tries to launch Rory Delap type long throws but is always five yards short

HENRY - Typical Karl Henry performance. Neat passing (mainly sideways) and some decent tackles but he isn't the man to play that killer ball up to the front men, that job some belong to Milijas but as he can't run McCarthy is a bit stuck

EDWARDS - same as Henry really, not a stunning performance but did nothing wrong. Mancienne should look at Edwards as a role model as Edwards always plays like he cares for the club

JARVIS - After a good start to the season Jarvis is now fading fast. His crossing was poor yesterday and was his shooting. Probably the most skilful player at the club a gentle kick up the arse from McCarthy is needed

KEOGH - His worst performance of the season, even McCarthy must admit that. Was subbed at half time and will probably be the last time he starts a match with SEB now fit, but who knows with McCarthy

DOYLE - had a good game with little success. Went on a couple of good runs nd linked up well with SEB and Kightly when he came

Subs

KIGHTLY - started brightly after coming on for Foley. Had a scuffle with Jamie O'Hara and received a yellow card for his troubles. Linked up well with Halford

SEB - came on at half time for Andy Keogh and immediately showed what we have been missing since his injury. The partnership of Doyle and SEB with Kightly on the wings should keep us in this division

MAIERHOFER - got 15 minutes and won a few headers (which he should at 6'7") but unlikely to win a starting place on his showing this season
