"I had a tremendous three and a half years here and the fans were always behind me," Sturridge told the clubs official website.
"Because of injuries over the last 12 months, and then not being in the team, I didn't make as many appearances as I would have wanted to."
Sturridge has played 92 games for Wolves since signing from Leicester City in 2001 and scored 33 goals.
