The Norwegian manager guided FC Copenhagen to a goalless draw at Stamford Bridge in the last 16 of the Champions League in 2011, although a first-leg victory in Denmark was enough to see the Blues progress to the quarter-finals. Solbakken's return to west London, albeit in rather different circumstances, was guaranteed by virtue of a tricky 3-1 victory over League Two side Northampton at Sixfields on Thursday night. The 44-year-old told his club's website: "We could have been a bit luckier with the draw but it is a cup competition and this happens. "Last time I was there with Copenhagen we drew 0-0 so maybe we can do that and win on penalties. It is one to look forward to but we have a few games to go before that. "We will have nothing to lose in that game and everything is possible."
