Oldham V Wolverhampton at Boundary Park - Match Preview

Mills out for Latics

Oldham will not able to use loanee Joseph Mills in the FA Cup against Wolves this weekend.

Mills' parent club Burnley have not granted Latics permission to play the defender at Boundary Park as they do not want him cup-tied for when he returns to Turf Moor in January.

It will give the full-back more time to recover from a recent hamstring injury, though, the same ailment which is likely to keep centre-back Matteo Lanzoni out again.

Full-back Connor Brown (knee) is back in training but is more likely to feature against Notts County on Tuesday while striker Charlie MacDonald (ankle) could also target that fixture for a return.

Matt Doherty has a chance of featuring for Wolves.

The right-back has missed the club's last three matches due to a hamstring injury and is facing a race against time to be involved at Boundary Park.

However, midfielder Kevin McDonald continues to sit out with the hamstring problem which sidelined him for last Saturday's 2-0 victory over Stevenage and Tuesday's 2-2 draw at Carlisle.

Head coach Kenny Jackett has admitted he is pondering changes for the cup tie, with the likes of Dave Edwards, Bjorn Sigurdarson, Jamie O'Hara, Jake Cassidy and Anthony Forde pushing for starting berths.
