The Wolves keeper has torn cruciate knee ligaments which will require surgery.

"It is a blow to us and a major disappointment for Matt," Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has said.

"He had a great season last year and was looking forward to the new one.

"Luckily, we have an excellent young keeper in Wayne Hennessey to step in."
