Mulgrew on way out?

The Wolves and Scottish U21 player was on loan to Southend last season for 3 months, what lasted till the end of the season, making 20 appearances and scoring one goal.

Charlie has been out of favour at Wolves this season, by only making two appearances in the league cup. This could mean that Charlie might favour Southend to recieve first team football.

Southend United's assistant manager Paul Brush told the official Southend website that "Charlie is on our list and we have had a conversation with Wolves.

"Their Chief Executive has been away (in India), but we liked the progress that Charlie had made with us and he was comfortable being here.

"We are hoping that we can push that one because he is the type of player that we want to bring to this club.

"The ball is in Wolves court at the moment and we are waiting to hear back."

I have quoted from a fan off Southend Mad, to see what their view is on the player and here is what tlgnews said "Well, the fact since he signed for us at the end of January we have lost twice in 19 games says it all.

"Has added height to a relatively small defence and though the radar breaks down at times reads a game well with no little skill.

"His free-kicks are awesome and a far more dangerous weapon than the guy he replaced, Steve Hammell.

"As you can see I'm a fan, but whether he stays or not would maybe depend on the results of the next two weeks and how much cash we can splash out. Then again the way Mick McCarthy manages your side we may get him on a free!"
