For the first time since the start of October, Wolves clambered out of the bottom three with last Wednesday's 1-0 win over Chelsea.
Ahead of a trip to Manchester City on Saturday, Milijas told the club's official website: "The players, the team and the gaffer don't deserve to go out of this division.
"We're much better than last season. The players signed for this season have improved the squad, and we've all learned a lot from last year.
"I think we deserve to stay up, but we just need to show that with our results.
"Now we must think about the Manchester City game. It will be hard, but we took three points against them at home and we'll try to get something at their place too."
