"I have enjoyed myself at Wolves and feel that I have a healthy relationship with the supporters.
"I have never given less than 100% for the club and I like to think that my attitude and professionalism has been of a high level," Cooper told the clubs official website.
"But I have felt frustrated by the lack of first team opportunities and, at my age, I need to be playing regularly in the first team. It's no good to me to be playing in fits and starts.
"So, after a chat with the manager, it was felt best that I go on the list."
