"The performance was better than the 2-0 scoreline with the chance that we created. We hit the post and missed a penalty," the Wolves boss said after the News Year Day clash against his former club.
"There is no point worrying about not taking the chances and we will keep working to get more goals out of the side.
"But I think that we are moving in the right direction as on our day we can be a match for anyone and we can be a threat.
"My goal is still the same as it was at the start of the season - to get promoted. That is what we all want.
"We want to be in the shake-up and we should be threatening the play-offs."
