"It was a terrific goal by Leon. He's been doing really well for us," the Wolves boss said after the 2-0 win at The Molineux
"I felt for him a bit because once or twice late on when he didn't go for something he got a bit of the bird from the crowd.
"On Wednesday he had been suffering from a bit of a tight hamstring and rather than say anything to me I had to take him off.
"He did himself no favours as I thought he had been terrific and so anybody who gave him the bird for not going for those two has to know he had a sore hamstring.
"I think a lot is expected of us here. When we got to grips with it, it was just always who was going to score the first goal and we really should have gone in more than 1-0 ahead."
