"If a player comes on loan, plays and feels that he is developing then there is always a good chance of being able to keep them. He is a young lad who is well thought of at Old Trafford," he has told the club's official website.
"He is a mature player for his age and he is a United player in the sense that he does not give the ball away. He is very conservative with his passing.
"Part of the thinking behind bringing him here was that he would prove good cover for Seyi in the new year, so hopefully we can keep Darron here and he will provide that."
