Sections of the Molineux crowd made their feelings known as Wolves trailed North End by two goals at half time, much to the disappointment of the Wolves boss.
"The last thing you want to hear is your own fans booing you, that does nothing for a player's confidence," Jones told the clubs official website after the 2-2 draw.
"But the lads showed great character with the second half performance.
"People will say it was against ten men but we hit back and could have gone on to win the game were it not for some world class saves from their keeper."
