The news follows a report in the News Of The World at the weekend indicating that Arsene Wenger is lining up a move for Lescott before the transfer deadline. The news is likely to receive mixed responses from the Wolves faithful. Lescott is seen as a hero at the club and is easily the strongest member of the Wolves defence. However, the deal could tie-up a number of signings that are also rumoured to be in Glenn Hoddle's plans.
