In a further fitness boost, key striker Kevin Doyle has started light training and has not been ruled out of making a comeback this season from his knee ligament injury. Hunt has endured an injury-hit first season at Molineux but could be available to play some part in the run-in.
Wolves boss Mick McCarthy said: "Remarkably, `Hunty' is back in full training although he's not fully fit yet.
"It's incredible how quickly they turn these hernias around and he's doing okay.
"He's got a bit of scar tissue, and, like any operation, there's some form of discomfort. But it's not the hernia now, it's just from the surgery.
"It's been a stop-start season for `Hunty' because he's had more injuries than he, or we, would have liked. He just needs more training now."
