"You go back to old-fashioned wingers and that's their job . . . to get to the byeline and deliver crosses.
"We're looking to continue this, create chances and get out of the bottom three," Hammill told BBC WM.
After again catching the eye in Wolves' 3-3 draw with Spurs on Sunday, Hammill admits that, with Matt Jarvis a fixture on Wolves' left side, he has had to get used to a change of flanks since arriving at Molineux.
"Since I've come here I've played on the right," he said. "I played predominately on the left for Barnsley, so it's taken a few games to get used to it but I'm enjoying it.
"The strikers know as soon as I get it I want to touch it and cross it and I'm better at crossing with my right than I am with my left so it's working for me.
Just look at our team spirit...our goal is to get out of the bottom three as quickly as possible and stay there

"I feel about 70 per cent there. There's a lot more to come and I want to create more chances and get myself on the scoresheet."
Despite Wolves being next-to-bottom, Hammill is confident that Mick McCarthy's men will stay up.
"There's nine more games to go and hopefully we can get the points in the board as soon as possible.
"Just look at our team spirit. There's no doubt in the dressing room.
"Our goal is to get out of the bottom three as quickly as possible and stay there."
