"There are always defining points and we're definitely in a key part of the season," Hahnemann told BBC WM.
"We need to get some wins so we can get out of the relegation zone because once you're out it eases the pressure off and you can play a bit more freely."
After the trip to Bloomfield Road, Wolves have fixtures against Sunderland, Blackburn, Birmingham City, West Bromwich Albion, Wigan and Liverpool before the end of 2010.
Wolves have the unwanted record of being the only Premier League team yet to keep a clean sheet this season.
Hahnemann, who is an ever-present in the top-flight in 2010/11, added: "It's really frustrating because goalkeepers and defences want to keep clean sheets.
"We've played well for long periods of game but we just need a little but of luck and maybe it will fall for us."
Wolves have the worst away record in the Premier League, taking just one point from their six away matches this season.
They have not won away from home in any competition since 23 March, when they beat West Ham 3-1 at Upton Park.
