Edwards has endured an injury-hit campaign and is currently sidelined with a back problem which he fears is hereditary.
He has already been ruled out of Wales' Euro 2012 qualifier with England at the Millennium Stadium on March 26. But Edwards is hoping he will be available at the start of next month to help Wolves in the finale of their battle to avoid relegation from the Barclays Premier League.
Edwards, previously out of action with thigh and hamstring problems, said: "I've got another scan in three weeks and if there's an improvement and everything has repaired, then I can head back to training.
"That would be about the start of April and, if all was well, I could be fit for the last five or six games.
"But if there is no improvement, then it will be a different timescale."
