Fletcher has been unable to command a regular spot at Molineux since his £7million summer move from Burnley, with Kevin Doyle often used as a lone striker.
That has seen Fletcher left out of the Scotland squad for the last three matches - including this week's clash with the Faroe Island - but the striker, who scored his fourth goal of the campaign as a substitute against Bolton at the weekend, is sure he can win back his place.
He said: "I haven't been getting much action recently but when the gaffer does give me opportunities, hopefully I'll take them.
"I've got the self belief to score goals and hopefully I can get a start.
"I'm happy to do a job for the team. I played wide on Saturday and I scored when I was playing wide at Tottenham.
"As for Scotland, if I continue scoring goals then hopefully I'll be in there on merit.
"He (Levein) said I wasn't in the squad because I wasn't playing. "But I just need to keep scoring goals then hopefully I'll get an opportunity."
