Defending Upsets Jones

Wolves lost defender Mark Clyde just past the half hour mark but Jones refused to use that as an excuse for the bad defending.

"All through the game I never felt comfortable defensively," Jones told the clubs official website after the 3-2 defeat.

"Certain players today didn't do what they have done for years throughout their career.

"The only one of the back line to come away with any credit today was young Keith Lowe.

"We came into the game on the back of two League victories but now we've undone all the good work on the road. The first 30 seconds should have alerted the defence to buck up.

"Clyde going off was a loss but you can't blame that. We should have done better."
