Zubar told the club website: "I had to rest for a month after the surgery and then came back and started doing gym work to get the back stronger.
"I'm getting better day by day and week by week. If all is well, I will come back and should be ready for 4 July."
Zubar, who made 18 appearances in all competitions for Wolves last season, did not feature after the 4-0 win over Blackpool at Molineux on 26 February.
Wolves only avoided relegation on the final day of the Premier League season, despite beating all of the top three at Molineux during the course of the campaign.
"It was really close on the last day for us to stay up but we made it and we deserve it," said Zubar.
"We did make a lot of mistakes last year, which we didn't do in previous seasons.
"I think we all learned a lot about the Premier League again, myself included.
"In the Premier League, you have to get stronger every year otherwise you don't survive."
